I was lucky enough to have a good friend (Eldae) in the GGGs who provided one of there keys to try. Trial keys can be requested from players who have bought the game as they have 1x key for Travelers and 2x keys for Explorers edition.
This is to me its current issue as you need to find a friend or a site with a FREE 7 Day Trial key you can use if you don’t want to splash out money to find out its not like any other MMO you may have played and may not like. So lets start with your options to try it out before you buy one of the editions, Travelers for €29.99 (£23 GBP) or Explorers for €49.99 (£40 GBP). Does this matter if you area pure PvE player, well yes and no, Black Desert Online is a living breathing world which has PvE content.
However, its not like Guild Wars 2 its more akin to Elder Scrolls Online but has no PvE end game such as dungeons or raids. BDO is a buy to play MMO, similar to Guild Wars 2, pay once play for ever. Its finally launched in the EU on 3rd Mar 2016, so relatively new to the EU although the Korean version has been available to play for over 2 years. fast, free, and a ton of options, but no color.I have been reading up and following the story of a MMO called Black Desert Online (BDO) for a couple of years now. You'll get a graphical preview of your character, and you can save that image. If you're okay with a total grayscale, you can try creating a custom mini in hero forge. I mean that's not really a downside if you were going to do that anyway, but it would be a huge negative if you only wanted to create characters. The downside is you might need to play the game for like 50 hours to unlock all the parts. Previous games always made it very quick and easy to create characters. Soul Calibur 6, the video game, is releasing soon, with an extensive high quality character creator that you can probably screenshot and export. The downside is it takes a long time to create anything and you still have to register a (free) mmo account to use it even though there is no mmo. That lets you have super high levels of customization and you can pose the characters how you like.

I think you can still download the Black Desert character creator as a separate, standalone thing. The paid license, however, does allow you to use the things for commercial purposes, which is a nice bonus.

There are some paid character creator software you can use-and there's a free demo, but I found it to be extremely lacking and not typically produce things I thought were worth paying for.
